Here's what's coming up for September:

September 8, 6 pm: RE and Youth Program Parent's Meeting
Parents are invited to attend this informational session regarding OLV's Parish Religious Education and Youth Programs.

Location: OLV

September 8, 7-8:30 pm: Youth Rosary Making
This event is open to all middle and high students (even if they aren't a member of our parish).

We will be making rosaries for troops from our parish and their families. All 6-12 graders are invited to attend. Cost is $5 per person to cover supplies. If you already know who to make these rosaries, come and help teach others how to as well!

September 12, 6 pm: 9th Grade Confirmation Class
This year there are two confirmation classes as we are moving confirmation to 8th grade.  The 8th graders on meeting on Wednesdays at the same time as the rest of the RE classes while the 9th graders are meeting on Sunday nights.  For more details, contact Alfie Rael.

September 15, 7-8:30 pm: High School Youth Group with Fr. James
We will be having question and answer time with Fr. James this week.  Bring your questions and a friend.

September 22, 7-8:30 pm: High School Youth Group
Join us for fun, friends, and faith.  We will have snacks and all 9-12 graders welcome!

September 25, 8 am - 1 pm: Hiking at Horsetooth Rock with Fr. James

This event is open to all middle and high students (even if they aren't a member of our parish).

We will be hiking to the top of Horsetooth Rock where there are amazing views! The hike is moderate. All necessary supplies are listed on the permission form in the back of the church or on the youth bulletin board. We will need drivers for this event!

Cost: $5 per person, due with permission form to Parish Office by September 22.

October 2010

Here's what's coming up for October:

October 1 (7 pm) through Oct. 2 (8 pm): Northern Colorado High School Retreat


This weekend should not be missed!  OLV will be joining high school students from Catholic parishes in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley.  More details are coming soon!

Location: St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Fort Collins

October 6, 13, 20, 27; 7-8:30 pm: High School Youth Group

Join us for fun, friends, and faith. We will have snacks and all 9-12 graders welcome!

October 13: Operation Christmas Child Begins

We will again take part in this fun Christmas service project. Each family or individual fills a shoebox with any combination of the recommended items found on the website listed below. Then you include at least $7 to pay for shipping of the box or you can pay on-line and then track your boxes. The latter is really cool because then you see where your box is going.

Also in October we will be going to a Corn Maze and Paintballing

November 2010

Here's what's coming up for November:

November 3, 10, and 17; 7-8:30 pm: High School Youth Group
Join us for fun, friends, and faith. We will have snacks and all 9-12 graders welcome!

Location: Varies for each week

November 10: Operation Christmas Child Boxes due
Return filled shoeboxes to the church so that they can be sent onto the shipping center in Denver and get to their destination for Christmas.

November 12, 5-9 pm: Youth Babysitting Night Fundraiser
The Youth of OLV will be hosting a babysitting night at the church. More details on age and cost will come soon.

November 20, 5:30 - 6:30 pm: Youth Ministry Fundraiser Dinner
This event will help us raise money for youth activities and program such as retreats, conferences, and local parish events. We will be serving a great Italian Dinner prepared by parishioners and the youth! Suggested donation is $5 per person for this all you can eat meal. Everyone is welcome to attend and show their support for the youth of the parish.

November 24: No Youth Group

December 2010

Here's what's coming up for December:

December 1, 8, and 15; 7-8:30 pm: High School Youth Group

Join us for fun, friends, and faith. We will have snacks and all 9-12 graders welcome!

Location: Varies for each week

December 4 and 5; after all masses: Youth Ministry Bake Sale

We will be selling homemade treats after all masses this weekend. Proceeds will help to fund various youth events! All youth are welcome to help by selling or making baked goods for this event.

December 16, 6:30 pm: Advent Party and Caroling

The youth and RE programs will join forces to celebrate this holy season by Caroling in the neighborhoods surround OLV and then conclude with food and fun. All are welcome to participate!
